The Toronto Camera Club offers a number of interesting workshops throughout the season. This year we have workshops on Preparing for Competitions, Photo Essays, Travel Photography Trips, Wildlife Photography, Making Photo Books, and Preparing for Photography Trips. The Photography for Beginners Workshop is designed for novice photographers of the Club and are held for four consecutive Wednesday evenings. Rather than being passive listeners, participants are encouraged to engage in interactive discussions. For this type of learning experience, the number of participants is limited to about a dozen per cycle. Depending on the number of interested members, there could be several cycles within the year. Members who are new to out-of-town trips of the club are briefed on nature photography in general, recommended gear, shooting practices and some guide to the locale. Review sessions for in-town outings are scheduled from time to time. Getting a glimpse of how the same spot could be viewed by different photographers is quite interesting. |
