We are going to the beautiful Prince Edward County for our first weekend outing in May. Just 2 1/2 hours drive to the east of TO, the area promises plenty of photo ops including song birds during the spring migration, Trilliums and other early spring blooms, bucolic farmscapes and waterways. Throw some wine tasting into the mix and there is a great opportunity for some creative alchemy!

If you are interested to come on the outing, please do the following:

1) Sign up on the sign-up sheet posted on the notice board at the back of the hall, including the number in your party ( friends & family welcome ), whether you need a ride / can give a ride, and contact information.

2) Book a room at the PICTON HARBOUR INN 1-800-678-7906

They have set aside 24 rooms for the club and they are held till the end of February only, on a first come, first served basis. The rooms range from $90 - $120 per night ( plus taxes ) and that does not include any meals. There is a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch on the premise. You can cancel your reservation with no penalty if 24 hours notice is given.

Picton is in the heart of the county and it the most convenient base from which to explore the area. As with previous outings, you may choose to stay elsewhere ( other inns or B&B's ), but do note that we will meet and plan our activities from the Picton Harbour Inn.

In any case, it is your responsibility to book your accommodations, and to avoid disappointments, please do it ASAP!
