In January 24th we held a Photoshop workshop for beginners. It was over subscribed with a number of people’s names being put on a waiting list. We are planning to have a second similar workshop on Sunday March 7th from 1pm to 4:30pm. There are a very few spots left for this second workshop and I am writing you to see if you are interested in attending.
The general arrangements will be similar to the previous workshop:
-
attendance limited to 15 individuals
-
a hands on workshop where individuals work on the same images using their own computers
-
To participate you must have (and bring) a laptop, which is equipped with a version of Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Elements that enables you to do “Layers”.
-
We recommend that you come equipped with versions of Photoshop or Elements that are not older than Photoshop 7 or Elements 5.
-
Note the latest versions are Photoshop CS4 (about $750 US) and Elements 8. The last time I checked Costco was selling Elements 8 for less than $100.
-
This curriculum will involve an overview of the main functions and tools of Photoshop including an explanation of how to use layers.
-
please make sure that you have installed and tested (played with) the
program on your computer prior to attending the workshop
-
The instructor will again be Stephen Morley.
For the last workshop we requested a $40 security deposit which was refunded on the day of the course. Since there is limited time left, prior to the course, we will not follow that procedure this time. HOWEVER IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ATTEND, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP. It would be unfair to those who are further down on the waiting list. If you should sign up and, not show up, we reserve the right to bill you the $40.
If you are interested in attending, please respond ASAP by email to:

I will send a response email letting you know if there is space available, please do not assume you can attend unless you receive confirmation. Those who have already received a confirmation email do not need to reply to this. Thank you.
