Print Competition Categories
Colour
There are 3 sub-categories in this category:

  • General
  • Creative (altered reality)
  • Portrait (no animals)

Each member may submit up to 3 colour prints. It is your choice the sub-category or sub-categories into which you submit your 3 colour prints. The colour category is divided into the Beginners (B), Advanced (A) and Masters (M) levels

Mono
There is no sub-category(s) in Mono. The subject matter is open. Each member may submit up to 3 mono prints. The mono category is divided into the Beginners (B), Advanced (A) and Masters (M) levels.

PROCEDURES FOR IDENTIFYING MOUNTED PRINTS
The following must be recorded on the back of the print.

  • An arrow indicating the top of the print
  • The identifier being used to e-mail the digital copy of the print (same format/order) (see below)
    • Competition_Division_Category_Name_Title (You only need this. You do not need to write your name and title separately unless you wish to)

PROCEDURES FOR PLACING THE MOUNTED PRINTS IN THE PRINT ENTRY BOX AT THE CLUB

  • Each maker's Mono entries must be placed in the box, together, in one bag, and his/her Colour entries, together, in another bag
  • The outside of each bag must have the following information:
    1. Maker's Name
    2. Division
    3. Mono or Colour 

A Digital Copy of Each Mounted Print Entry Must Be Entered in Addition to Your Mounted Print
These MUST be entered by e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , as follows.
(Those printing from film must send the information, as below, but without a digital copy attached.)

Digital images must be no larger than 1024 pixels in any dimension (but ought to be 1024 in at least one dimension to have maximum impact). They must be in JPEG and sRGB format (files in Adobe RGB will not appear with correct colours).

Files must be named in the following manner…

Colour: CP3 (for Colour Print competition 3)_G or C or P (for General or Creative or Portrait)_B or A or M (for Beginner, Advanced or Master)_Maker's Name_Image Title (Title to be read to the judges)

For example: CP3_C_B_Henri Cartier-Bresson_Brie - France.jpg

Mono: MP3 (for Mono Print competition 2)_B or A or M (for Beginner, Advanced or Master)_Maker's Name_Image Title (Title to be read to the judges)

For example: MP3_B_Larry Towell_Mennonite Community.jpg

NOTE: Digital images must be no larger than 1024 pixels in any dimension (but ought to be 1024 in at least one dimension to have maximum impact). The name and title may contain hyphens (-), but not commas (,), apostrophes (') or quotation marks, as these mess up our processing software.
